New Jersey Riverfront Development Jettisons Mall Concept

New Jersey Riverfront Development Jettisons Mall concept

Developers in New Jersey are planning to create a "downtown-like retail village". The purpose is  to move away from the traditional mall setting where people spend time indoors or from an outdoor mall where walking on a sidewalk is unappealing.  The new concept will have places to eat and shop as well as having office spaces and apartments nearby. The shopping mall industry has shifted form focusing on having a wide variety of retailers, where people can come to shop at to customers coming to spend their day ranging from doing errands to entertainment. As retailers have reduced the number of locations in malls, developers in New Jersey are planning on providing more restaurants and entertainment. Also, there are plans to include fitness centers, medical plaza, and supermarkets. People will have everything they need or desired in one location.

The Developers have listened to what customers want and are working towards creating a plan that will satisfy those needs. In this case, people have let it known that they are no longer interested in having a mall with several store chains available. Rather they want a place where they can come for the experience as well as being  a convenient place to find everything from office spaces to doing errands. The Developers of New Jersey have done a wise decision in making the shift in the mall industry to provide a new mall concept more appealing to the generations of today simply because they have listened to what customers want and are doing what they can to provide that instead of continuing the old way and potentially becoming unsuccessful.
