Who Wants to Supply China’s Surveillance State? The West

SHENZHEN, China—U.S. tech giants and Chinese state-backed companies showed off the future of policing in this southern technology hub as they vie for a slice of the world's biggest surveillance market.
While many of these technologies are in use in private sector and perhaps at the the U.S airports, but maybe a few more of these type of technologies are  selectively currently are popular with may governments around the world. As the population grows policing and controlling  becomes a challenge.  For example, China's massive population and the phenomena of migrating of the population to the big cities makes policing i the traditional way more difficult for the government and at the same time it is costly to hire more forces to meet the demand. In most western societies many aspects of surveillance are debated with human rights groups and that obstacle makes it more difficult for the government to sponsor innovative tech surveillance companies, but on the other side of the globe a government like China with its authoritarian style is a very attractive market for these western companies.
