The Infamous Nokia
Crop is back at it, but this time with bathroom scales. They have started to
diversify in their product market to be more than low tier phone but a former
super company that moved the world. The lost costs phones started to lose it
luster with the introduction of the Windows stake in phone products. Within
time, Nokia started to have a comeback but in other products. The name of Nokia
has tremendous value despite being known for their lost cost phones. For being
a lost cost phone, many people had the chance to use them at one point in their
life. With that, the marketing opportunities are monumental. Diversifying would
be a joke, Marketing with Nokia would be as you say, easy as pie.
This is a smart business move from Nokia, when the iPhone and Android smartphones came out it basically killed their product demand and market share. Diversifying their company into different product markets is the only way to keep the company from filing Chapter 11.
