Plug in vacuums a thing of the past?

Do Cordless Vacuums really work as well as the plugin Vacuums?

The New Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute was just introduced into the market. While it belongs to a bigger market of vacuums, it has created a new form of vacuums. This Vacuum is a light, cordless, powerful machine. It comes with a built-in dust chamber which can hold .2 gallons of dirt and trash. This is a new addition to the series of Dyson cordless vacuums. with this vacuum being the most powerful cordless one yet, it now comes with an option of powers when vacuuming. The user can choose from levels such as low, medium, and max suction.

While there are many pros to cordless vacuums, the cons are a big enough problem which will cause the buyer to second think this expensive purchase. It is noted on the box that the battery lasts "up to 60 minutes;" however, when used on the max setting, the battery will only last 10 minutes at best. while this may seem like a decent amount of time, it makes the weekly chores even longer when you need to take 3 hours breaks to charge the Vacuum in between rooms. This Vacuum may be useful for those who have a small amount of carpet in their homes/apartments or are looking for a nice mobile vacuum for small tasks-- such as cleaning a car. The new Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute retails at $699. The price tag is also a huge drawback for many. The pros and cons of any cordless vacuums have to be examined before taking the leap-- and opening your wallet. There are other less expensive options presented below; however, in comparison to those shown below, the Dyson Cyclone V10 is the one highest in power and battery life. These, among others, are things to consider when investing in an expensive piece of technology.

This article was interesting to me because I am very invested in the new technology which is released. While I, personally, do not vacuum my home, it is something interesting to know where the future of the vacuum technology is headed. In the past, I remember having a huge vacuum that needed to be plugged in and lugged around the house which could make this already long task even longer. The direction in which this business is moving is one which will make chores less of a hassle and more appealing to do.

The 4 Cs of this product are as follows:
- The consumer needs and wants: A cordless vacuum is something many desire; however, because of how steep the price point can be can lead people to refrain from buying such a desired item. Depending on how much one really wants the product will determine how much they are willing to pay.
- The cost to satisfy: for having such a high price point, one may expect a longer battery life than what is given. some may not buy this Dyson because of its battery duration of 30 minutes on the highest power.
- Convenience: it is very convenient to buy this product. many can find it in stores such as Target, Walmart, Lowe's and the like. One would not have to go out of their way to purchase this product.
- Communication: I think consumers have spoken up about what they wanted and Dyson is in the process of giving it. they provided a wireless and efficient vacuum; however, they do need to improve the battery life to fully meet the consumer's needs.

  1. I believe cordless vacuums are much better. The cord can get really annoying, especially when you run out of cord while cleaning. You would have to unplug and plug in somewhere else. I have seen that the robotic vacuums seem to be getting really popular. Robotic vacuums are the most convenient option. I think that Dyson should focus on possibly making its own version of the robotic vacuum instead of just a cordless one.
