This article was interesting to me because it is an important topic to everyone. Eventually, most people buy a new car within their lifetime. Whether it is new or not, it has some sort of technology built into it, no matter how basic it is. Cars 30 years ago would have technology like power windows and power locks that would come as a luxury if you pay more. Nowadays, anything less than power windows and power locks seems like a thing of the age of dinosaurs. Now car companies are becoming more and more technologically advanced with more common things like navigation and bluetooth and less common things like EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). Car companies are now partnering or buying other technology companies to use the technology from that company to use in their automobiles to have the upper hand on other car companies.
This article applies to what we learned in class because it goes along with the four P's of marketing. This article helps show that car companies are willing to invest more into research and development to more of what the customer wants. They research and develop more and more so that they can have a product better suited for the target market. These things are now seen in our every day life as normal things, and much less as luxurious things.

I like the mixture between companies. I would do this if I owned a car company.
