Men and shorts

LENGTH IN NUMBERS From left: An exhibitionist 3-inch inseam; the widely acceptable 6-inch inseam; the frat-boy 10-inch inseam.

Growing up, to this day, I am mesmerized on the choices men make when it comes to shorts. In the very informative article "11 Burning Questions About Men's Shorts, Answered" written by Jacob Gallagher on May 8th, I learned a lot about these choices.
It all begins with the length: 3 inches (alarming), 6 inches (just right) and 10 inches (juvenile). Typically the size shorts usually range on. From size, it goes to how they look (with patterns, dressy, casual, cargo), to when and where should these shorts be used, to having to tuck in your shirt or not, to finally a small paragraph of short history.

The reason I chose this article was because I found it intriguing how guys have such a limited amount of choices when it comes to shorts and I realize that behind every choice a guy makes, there seems to be (most of the time) a logical explanation.
When it comes to marketing shorts for men, there's not much of a variety as there is for women. In lady fashion, you have high wasted, low rise, mid rise, short shorts, capris, and the list goes on. The different clothing industries that advertise shorts rely on very similar ways to put their product out there. However; I believe the easiest way to publicize these different types of shorts is by modeling, which is what a lot of industries have done to get their product out.
In the fashion industry, modeling becomes a very common and most useful tool to advertise their different kinds of clothing.
