As China Cools, Korean Exporters Feel Chill

The mutually beneficial business relationship between China, South Korea, and Taiwan parts manufacturing is steadily asphyxiating. China has continued to make efforts to achieve self-sufficiency. In the past six years it has begun to produce many products that were previously the lucrative export of South Korea and Taiwan, which has hurt their overall economies. On one hand, a move to cancel out international dependency is prudent and good for a rising nation to do, but at the same time, any such actions push the development of surrounding, comparatively underdeveloped nations further back. In the long run this may place diplomatic strains at the same time as ensuring strong ties. However, there is a possibility for resentment and for subsequent contracting with other nations on the part of South Korea and Taiwan.
It's a good start but the overall "jist" of the article doesn't seem to be there, kinda confusing.
