YouTube music is here!

YouTube music is here! Not every song, of course, has a music video, and YouTube mixes videos and audio-only tracks to make up its catalog of about 50 million songs. Rather than seeing album art when you first open the app, you see video stills. The app is now up and running for iPhone and Android users. The team built both an offline mode, which saves songs and videos on a user’s phone, and an audio-only mode, which removes videos completely. This gets rid of the problem users may have with their data plans. YouTube Music has a free, ad-supported tier. Those who want to get rid of ads, and open up the offline capabilities, will have to buy a YouTube Red Subscription priced at $9.99 a month. There is also a one month trial for users who may not be completely sure. YouTube music is our to compete with music providers such as Spotify, Rdio, Pandora and Google Play Music. This idea will be great for music lovers and hopefully improve the satisfaction of music listeners. This article relates to product and promotion from the marketing mix. It gives uses the ability to watch videos as well, a feature that its competitors do not have. This app will promote the use of YouTube in new and improved ways. I'm excited to see the way that this app goes up against the current market.

  2. YouTube is trying to compete with every market now. They are also trying to get licensed to stream movies and TV shows to compete with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. YouTube is motivated right now and not stopping until it reaches all its goals. That is an admirable thing in my opinion.
