The company has been looking to attract new clients with its cloud-based media service, Bolt. New finance chief, Naveen Chopra, believes that for the company yo stay successful it most be innovative and "chart new paths."

TiVo is looking to improve by focusing on its operator-related businesses. They plan to launch a new  products and make organizational and operational changes in order to increase revenue. These simple approaches are expected to bring in 25 to 25 million dollars in earnings. Consumers can expect new products " that will take us beyond our role as the provider of traditional DVR," said Mr. Chopra.

New federal regulations have proposed new rules for television set-top-boxes, this set of new regulations would give consumers more choices when it comes to using their providers set-top-box and cable app or having an array of similar devices and apps. A market for set-top-boxes would be created if the new regulations are approved, opening the doors for TiVo. Cable companies aren't pleased with the new proposal because of the potential loss of revenue.
