Summary of the Article:
Uber has taken over the world of taxis. In Uber's prediction of the future, they see people getting driven around in self-driving cars, people using electric scooters, bikes, car, and any other type of vehicle. With the world around us evolving, Uber wants to take part in it. However, there are implications in their view of the future. More than 50 percent of the U.S. population lives in the suburbs or rural areas. For most Americans, owning their own car is better financially. Uber is soon going to go into the public markets. While Uber is not growing as fast, Uber Eats is rapidly growing. Uber wants to become a company like Amazon. Where they started selling one product but over time evolved into other products. 

How this article relates to Marketing:
In order for Uber to be apart of everything in the future, they would have to reduce their competition by setting themselves apart from the other companies such as Lyft. In order for the consumers to take interest in what they are doing, they would have to start doing things that are different or that is the most convenient for the consumers. For example, Uber Eats is doing so well because they make it easier for the customers to get food without the consumer themselves actually going out and getting it.
