Batman’ Fails to Ride Debut Momentum

Batman Vs. Superman disappoints at the box office, proving that social networks and positive reviews can make a huge difference. On the opening weekend the movie debuted at $422.5 million. The movie starred Ben Affleck as Batman and introduced Wonder Woman. Critics weren't too pleased with the movie but Superman and Batman were able to overcome the negative reviews.  Now at the end of its box office air time the movie has grossed in a total $867.3 million, barely double its opening weekend. This is a sign fans were not pleased with the movie and didn't go to the theater to watch it multiple times or recommended it to family and friends. This is concerning for Warner Brothers because it plans on releasing more DC comic movies like “Suicide Squad,” “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League.”

  1. Its a shame that the negative reviews made the movie not achieve its full potential.

  2. I saw this movie and besides the high quality and great potential, the actors really made it such a hard movie to watch.
