Fashion,Fashion and Fashion!!!

Fashion,Fashion and Fashion!!!

No one escapes fashion whether you are good or slightly terrible at it. Article written by KIMBERLY CHRISMAN-CAMPBELL gives such great appetizing insight for five fashion museums scattered internationally. If i had money to blow i would just travel to see every single one of them. The first one is called Fashion Forward: 3 Centuries of Fashion (1715-2016) it will take place in Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, Apr. 7-Aug. 14, 2016. The reason this is unlike anything in our local Houston museums? Easy. 300 pieces to reflect 300 years of fashion.Yup 300 years of fashion, what is that even like you may ask? Well I would love to know the answer but I have no idea myself. However it would be amazing to see so many beautiful and “distinct” garments. Secondly the ,Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear in Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Apr. 16-Mar. 12, 2017. This museum will display intimate wear from undies to corsets and crinolines. Like the previous mentioned museum, this London museum will display three centuries worth of private dress. Oscar de la Renta passed away in 2014. However his legacy did not and in De Young Museum, San Francisco, Mar. 12-May 30, 2016 a collection of Renta’s career from the late ’50s to his death in 2014 will be on display. So if you love to see beautiful ballgowns and would love to daydream about being a princess this is totally eye worthy. Moving on to the next museum Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology and located in the heart of fashion New York City! Held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art May 5- Aug. 14, 2016, The fashion presented navigates from the The relationship between the hand and the machine, Industrial Revolution to today’s “slow fashion” movement. We buy clothes nowadays from all around the world thanks to Amazon or Ebay and we forget how advanced our technology has allowed us to become slightly unstoppable. This museum i think would bring more appreciation to today's technology surrounding the fashion world. Lastly presented was Reigning Men, Maybe the ball gowns from Oscar de La Renta are not your swing, especially because they cater to females so fellow don't feel discouraged!  Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Apr. 10-Aug. 21, 2016 will display Fashion in Menswear starting 1715 until 2015. Stop by L.A and celebrate the manliness fashion truth be told i don't think it is as diverse and crazy for lack of better word as the females, so I would definitely have to see what has changed in the years.
