Google Reaches Out
Google has recently worked to expand their brand in India by launching new versions of the YouTube app, called YouTube Go. YouTube Go allows users to access the app with a slow internet connection. Now this is every millennial's dream come true when the Wi-Fi acts up. This will expand Google's brand to millions of people due to India's large growing population. Because many Indians cannot afford to retrieve the best internet, this app allows many to view and share videos with others with the slowest internet connection. Although this new app is only available in India during the beginning stage, they hope to expand it to other countries in the long term.
Furthermore, Google has recently developed an additional feature to their Chrome mobile- web browser that allows users to download pages without having to be online. Without having to use up any mobile data, Google Play Store has allowed customers to download apps only when connected to the Wi-Fi. This saves customers' money, as they are not using up their mobile data. The new Chrome and Google Play Store additions will first be featured in India and eventually become available in other markets as well. Fortunately, Google strongly believes that their new program will expand to 100 stations by the end of 2016. Research already shows that thousands of Indians have used the Wi-Fi project to go online.
Many other companies such as Facebook, Uber Technologies, and Amazon all compete to become big in India. Google has brought a whole new outlook into the equation. Google has modified its product to be of further convenience to their customers. They are also expanding their target market to other countries such as India. Considering that India is one of the largest countries in the world, this will especially promote Google's brand name in the long run. Although they are one of the largest companies out there, Google is further growing as they find new ways to connect to their customers. In this scenario, Google has modified their product to meet the consumers' needs which is a great way for any company to further expand their brand.
