How Fat Do You Want Your Wallet For Traveling?

Inserting image...

You may be needing a credit-card for everyday spending, and not just one, but one card for travel and restaurant purchases, and many more other things. The question, “How fat do you want your wallet to be?”, is not referring to cash count but rather to the amount of cards you have in your wallet. Having credit-cards for traveling provides the consumer to maximize benefits such as getting lounge access or rising up to the elite status. Who wouldn’t want that?

Depending on the credit card you have, with it there are different benefits. For example, the American Express Platinum credit-card has an annual fee of $550 and it is best for its perks like lounge acess. In comparison to the American Express Platinum, there is also the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit-card that has an annual fee of $450 and the benefits are that it gives you a $300 annual travel credit and a priority pass lounge membership. Here, you can see that there are different options depending on your needs.

To be sure that you are getting the ideal credit-card, there is one magic number that your credit card has to have in order to get those credit-card travel rewards: 2%. And you might ask yourself, why 2%? It is simple, do you want to receive 2% of your purchases back?  This is important becasue nowadays it harder to find award seats and their prices are rising, which means that the payback consumers are receiving is weakening.  But as co-founder of frequent-flier community InsideFlyer, Gary Leff, says “Is there one card that’s best? I don’t think so”, but having more than one credit-card “is more rewarding than ever before”.

Not that you know that having more than one credit card is more beneficial to you when traveling and when there is a 2% credit-card travel reward, what is the product that is being sold? Some might say that the product is the credit-card itself which is true, However what they are offerring is mainly the perks, because all the credit cards can be used, but the perks on all of the cards are not the same. Additionally, part of their product consists of rewards such as receiving 2% payback of all the  purchases you made. This article is interesting and informative to the everyday consumer, because it provides a series of credit-cards that have different benefits and perks, that a consumer might be looking for but is not aware that there is a card with that benefit they are looking for. This article also opens up to a lack that credit cards have which is promotion. I, personally, was not aware there was so many credit cards with different perks and just for traveling. So to better let consumers know of the various credit-card options there is, credit-card companies can begin to promote their product more and obtain new customers.
