Google is launching a new and better version of Gmail to its 1.4 billion users. How will the users react?
Google's goal is to gain more users and the new Gmail has security enhancements and more productivity...making it more complex. The new feature facilitates the use of checking one's calendar and scheduling a meeting. Also, some other features include a "Smart reply" and a "confidential mode" button. With many different competitors including Outlook and Yahoo, the new Gmail's security improvements will prevent your email from being hacked or requiring the recipient to enter a passcode before they can read it. I think that the security enhancement's will make the New Gmail more attractive to users and it will increase the demand for Gmail with its new "smart" features.
I think this is very interesting, and i find it fascinating that there is no complacency with big companies like google. Even though they are ridiculously successful, they are always trying to find new ways to be better than their competitors.
ReplyDeletei think this is a very smart idea for google and it will lead to an increase of users. the idea of having this "security enhancement" is very good for the users and knowing google they'll most likely do a great job getting this through.
