Smile! Your Boss Is Tracking Your Happiness

Employee happiness has become a priority for many companies around the world. And to keep their workers satisfied, they first have to have a knowledge of the mood of their employees. As happiness is something that is associated with productivity at a job. So, the corporate world has also increased focus on it. It is considered good for managers to know how their people feel. To collect the required information, stress data is being monitored through various means. Softwares, surveys and IT people are in play to collect this data from the employees. Even the social profiles and emails of workers under observation to get a hold of an iota of information available regarding the mood of an employee. The little things matter at the job. However, all the above-mentioned steps have created privacy concerns for employees as well. It has resulted in the loss of private space of workers as they are being monitored by their bosses all the time. 

This article interested me as I intend to be a manager in the future. And being a student of MBA, I must have a knowledge of different techniques being used by the corporate world to get the better out of their employees. And knowledge of an employee’s mood is an important parameter to have to make better decisions.
