U.S. Prepares for Prolonged Shutdowns as Coronavirus Strains Hospitals

As the nation prepare its self for another month of isolation to help flatten the curve of this virus that means no income for people who cannot work in high volume social gathering venues like restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, etc. With the US leading the world is most confirmed cases and the people being ignorant to this real pandemic there is no real telling when the continuing of contamination will stop. For the time being we will continue to be in quarantine to help and the online, food delivery world will continue to thrive due to this. As a result, most companies have to switch over to more technological resources and to the online world is they wish not to die and this starts with marketing. This is why marketing is so important because there are so many companies that sell similar products that want the most customers but if you cannot market your product the best way then you will perish. Almost something like survival of the fittest. Being able to adapt is crushing at this time so it will be interesting how executives and managers adapt to this situation to help stay afloat.

  1. It's interesting how unreasured everyone is about the consequences of this pandemic may be. We have a good example of what could occur with the Spanish Flu in 1918 in regards to the economy. But, what is more unreasuring is the president's actions, it is honestly scarier than the pandemic itself, since he wants to only help big companies, and doesnt want to offer help to state govenors that do not show him appreciation, as well as denying new york with the amount of ventilators they require. It is the "survival of the fittest", and the security of all businesses is very important to be able to suffer less economic consequences and get back to normal sooner.

  2. I really liked your blog Mr. Darwin. It is quite scary how this virus has impacted the fear in people but also the economy, most people are not making any money in this time as well. This is due to the many restrictions set by the government allowing only necessary businesses to be open. You are right about the survival for the fittest but the fittest are the large companies who are capable of taking a hit unlike mom and pop stores.
