U.S Soccer Federation states "Women's soccer is not held to the higher standard of Men's soccer team"

U.S Women's soccer has been very persistent in their arguments that oppose women's equal pay and respect over multiple years. Public backlash occurred when the U.S Soccer Federation claimed that men play at a higher skill and are held more responsible than women. This sparks for major controversy in the world of soccer. Not only are there arguments now about the level of skill and responsibility needed, but also based on the performance defines how much they will get paid. Therefore, even if the Women's team has won multiple FIFA World Cup championships, they are still not able to receive more money than the mens team due to a different factor that does not involve the level of skill.
Due to the amount the U.S Men's Soccer team plays, and how much income they bring in from views, U.S Soccer lawyers believe that there should be a defined payment for men and a separate lower payment for women. However, U.S Soccer has received multiple public backlashes, especially from big corporations that sponsor them, such as Coca-Cola. Many believe that the Women's soccer team obviously deserves the same amount of pay or not more because of their performance and responsibilities. Some officials say that women are more scrutinized based off of their behavior than men, and also perform better than our men's team, who did not qualify for the World Cup in 2018, while the women won the World Cup in 2019. U.S Soccer may win in court, but forever will lose in history because of their discrimination of women.
