China, South Korea Move to Revive Business Travel Between Them
While the United States is still attempting to fight off the coronavirus pandemic, South Korea and China are making plans to revive their economy. It seems that South Korea and China have came to an agreement to start facilitating some business travel between the two. Both South Korea and China will begin with Beijing's first formal program to ease border controls and help revive economic activity. Starting May 1, South Korean business personnel will be allowed to travel only to seven provinces and three major cities in China only after passing through health-screening and quarantine procedures, the South Korean Foreign Ministry stated Wednesday. Chinese business travelers will also be allowed to visit South Korea by going through similar procedures, the ministry said. South Korea is not the only country that China is attempting to discuss about possible traveling in some of the cross-border business travel. China is also discussing proposals for travel arrangements in phone calls with counterparts from Austria, Germany, and Singapore, according to China's Foreign Ministry.
China was the source of this pandemic and are now attempting to get back to there normal life to help the economy and their people. Many countries around the world have been affected greatly in some many ways but the number one is the economy which is impacting the people. China is making sure to take all precautions while they are attempting to re-open the country. In order for South Korean travelers to enter China they must have an invitation from a China-based company, monitor their own health for at least two weeks, and undergo coronavirus testing up to 72 hours before departure to Chine, according to the South Korean Foreign Ministry. After arriving in China, travelers will be quarantined for one to two days at a government-designated facility and must pass another coronavirus test before they can continue their journey, the ministry statement said.
This is the new world for who knows how long and society must follow the precautions in order to remain safe. China is not taking any chances in re-opening everything, they are opening everything slowly and taking all precautions possible. The United States are also taking these precautions while they are attempting to re-open to help the economy. The economy took a huge blow when many states went into lockdown, leaving companies to lose money and people to lose their job. People just need to remain calm and be patience until it is completely safe to return back to normal. Hopefully everyone plays their role to ensure that everything runs smoothly and not have any setbacks.
