Amazon Opens Cashierless Supermarket in Latest Push to Sell Food

Image result for amazon supermarket

As seen from the title, Amazon is opening supermarkets that don't have any cashiers to push sales on their products. This is a very smart marketing strategy since they just bought whole foods where they started doing deliveries for groceries. Plus Amazon really is a online superstore which is why opening a physical store can attract a lot of  customers who don't like shopping online. The store had its grand opening on February 25th, 2020 and they want to showcase their technology by not hiring any cashiers.

  1. I find this article interesting with how Amazon is expanding its market from being an online company to now having its own physical store to attract shoppers who don't like to shop online.
