Everyone is talking about the recent cheating scandal that took place at the 2017 World Series. The Houston Astros were accused of sign- stealing and robbing the LA Dodgers of a World Series, which has shaken up the whole industry. This articles goes into depth about how baseball was never really a popular sport and how it was repeatedly called boring but now it is getting more publicity than ever before. Even though the publicity might not be good, it is getting a lot of people to talk and watch the sport and the season hasn't even started. A lot a people have their opinion about what punishment should have taken place and what will happen this season. I picked this article because it shows that even though something devastating happened, it got a lot of people talking about the sport which makes MLB views go up.
I think it was an interesting article and certainly there are more people who don't normally talk or watch baseball now engaging in discussion about baseball. While it may shed a negative light on the Astros, they are certainly getting more publicity out of this.
