Fox, Comcast Pursue Takeovers of Ad-Supported Video Services

The New Way To Stream At A Lower Cost

Nowadays the world is connected by social media and online streaming, not many people watch tv to keep up with the news, their favorite shows or programs. Now, we have everything on our phones that we can stream on the phone or on a smart tv, which does not require cable. Many companies, like Fox and Comcast, are losing customers due to the lack of services that they do not provide in their subscription. A lot of people nowadays pay for streaming services that only provide for certain content. Rather than paying for cable and only being able to watch at home. Now, Fox and Comcast are trying to come up with an idea to bring in people who do not want to pay for streaming subscriptions and offer them with free multiple subscriptions and at a lower cost compared to the other streaming services. So that it can compete with the bigger streaming companies like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and many others.

The reason why I chose this article is because it is a part of the advance technology taking over many companies that used to be the big companies back in the day. It also brings in the marketing strategy in how the cable companies are going to be able bring in customers to switch from streaming back to cable but with multiple streaming subscriptions.

  1. Juan, great and interesting article. As technology keeps rising day by day, we should take advantage of these new innovations and the cheap cost that they bring to the table as well.
