The coronavirus has quickly spread from a food market in China around the world, to small towns in northern Italy and a major pilgrimage site in Iran. It spread through a megachurch in South Korea and sickened hundreds on a cruise ship docked in Japan. Many countries never expected to have to fight this new infectious disease. But because our world is so connected its inevitable. This virus is popping up in disparate places, even with no clear links to the original outbreak in China. It has also reached the U.S. and we now have our first patient in California to be diagnosed. It is spreading rapidly throughout the world and we have no way of knowing how bad the casualties are going to get.

I found this article interesting because this virus is spreading rapidly throughout the world. We should be learning about this as we have no way of knowing how deadly it could get.

This virus is one of the biggest threats to marketers and consumers. While it is public knowledge that the coronavirus has killed over two thousand people, many still don't realize the impact it has on the world's economy. This is going to shift the international business market. I think it's important to marketers because it possesses a threat to its consumers. It's a threat because people are scared to consume goods from other countries.
