Elon Musk’s Desire for S-E-X Leads to Confusion With Model 3

Tesla has been releasing conferences stating that they will be having a new car in the market, Model 3. This has caused sales of the current Model S and X to drop. Many consumers think that the Model 3 is the newer and better model of the Tesla, but the CEO has said that this is not the case. The Model 3, according to the CEO, is the economy value car so it cost less than the other models.
The CEO has continuously posted on social media, specifically Twitter, that the Model 3 is not an upgrade like switching from the Iphone 3 to the Iphone 4. The Model 3 also went through some trademark issues when naming the vehicle. They originally wanted to name the vehicle Model E, but decided on Model 3 due to the “3” being a backwards “e”. Tesla has also had conference calls and blog posts to answer questions for customers.

The CEO also has plans to release a Model Y which will be a SUV, and making the car lineup, S-3-X-Y. This model would not be released until 2019 or 2020, but there are hopes to improve sells. Furthermore, with there different model names, they would send a message improving their marketing.
