Honda Joins Nissan in Furloughing Workers in U.S.

Due to the fast spread of the coronavirus, many companies are letting employees go.  This now includes Honda and Nissan which just announced they will be furloughing some factory workers without pay until May 1.  Other production workers are using vacation time to get paid during this time, which means when things do go back to normal they wont have anymore vacation time left.  Honda and Nissan are not the only ones doing this, there are many companies asking workers to use vacations days or days off without pay.  On the bright side workers will still receive their  benefits such as health care.  The unemployment in this country is at an all time high due to COVID-19 and is only getting worse.  Honda and Nissan made sure that workers affected can sign up for unemployment.
