The Future of Electric Vehicles May Ride on Two Wheels

Analysts say that there will be substantial growth for the next decades in the two-wheeled electric scooter markets, especially in markets like India and China after the measures that they have taken to increase electric scooter use.

One of the main problems that electric scooter companies in India have had is the competition with low priced gasoline motorcycles. However, the Indian companies are confident that this will change in the next year with their lowered prices, and expect that sales will take off. According to Mr. Munjal, the managing director of Hero Electric vehicles(India's top electric bike brand), the price of owning an electric bike is often cheaper than owning a gasoline bike, especially in the long run.

The environmental benefits from the electric scooters are worthy to take into account, this is why highly polluted nations, as India and China have pushed for the growth of the product. A mind-blowing fact is that electric scooters have reduced more emissions than electric cars. This comes to show the incredible effects that it could have to help the environment and the growth of the industry.

The electric scooter companies in India have had to change some marketing strategy decisions to adjust the prices, and the product to fit the needs of the markets where they are located. For example, the Indian company Hero Electrics, that has innovated with durable materials and heat resistance batteries.
