States Move to Ease Lockdowns as Global Cases Top 3 Million

Coronavirus Update: Reopening Fears, Farmers Forced to Destroy Crops

Texas, Ohio, and other states took steps to ease lockdown orders & reopen their economies, as the reported U.S coronavirus cases are near to reach one million. The state leaders have been hit the hardest with the pandemic having to find testing and think of the overall wellness of their residences. While urging people to stay home and avoiding public contact, officials are searching to expand testing capacities and create contact-tracing teams. Some states have already began to reopen some businesses. The Trump administration plans ion sending all 50 states supplies to test atleasr 2% of residents.

Texas specifically will allow retail stores, restaurants, malls, movie theaters, museums and libraries to reopen on fridat at 25% capacity. Gov. Greg Abbot said that the stay-home order that is now in place will expire on thursday."The executive order has done its job." "Now it is time to start a new course."
Most of the population is worried about the economy opening up too soon. However, for other states Texas' actions will be seen as a test to understand how big of an impact reopening the economy too early would be.
