Recent Grads' Worst Nightmare: Unemployment Soars in America

The coronavirus has caused a tremendous impact on the workforce sector; particularly, it increases the jobless claims for the last couple weeks to a record number. According to the journal, the total number of applications tops 17 million since the pandemic, as more and more companies continue laying off and furloughing their workers. That means the economy is under a huge debt, from small businesses to local and federal governments.

Recent graduates this semester will find it harder to find jobs. It is very unfortunate. That means they would have to make themselves more appealing and attractive to the employers since the competition among job seekers will be higher than ever (even for now). The only thing at the moment that investors and businesses are waiting for is the vaccine. The vaccine will somehow calm the society and persuade investors to spend their money, which in turn leads to more jobs made available since companies have funding to hire.
