Within recent years, worldwide consumers of livestock and produce have been facing food safety and fraud issues regarding the origins of their groceries. Many food manufacturers are committing unethical fraud and cheat their way through food safety regulations in order to push out the products that are deemed as unsafe for consumptions. But now, consumers can easily find out who and where their groceries are coming from due to advanced technologies developed by companies like ZhongAn Technology and Glanbia.
ZhongAn Technology has developed a system called GoGo Chicken that can monitor the living conditions of each of their chicken. This system oversees the temperature, humidity and other aspects of the environment while also keeping an eye on the health of the chickens. This was designed to reduce the problem of food-safety and food-fraud issues. Their consumers can easily get access to this information via cellphone app, and ZhongAn Technology is hoping to get other Chinese farms to use this system by 2020.
Other companies like Glanbia uses the company's trucks to gather data regarding the quality of milk to determine where shipments get delivered in order to provide their consumers with the best quality products. Fourkites has trackers inside shipping containers that can determine the quality of food so that food companies to respond in the case if there any issue regarding food safety.
This is a good way for food companies to use as a marketing strategy because this could be a way for them to gain trust from their consumers. Which is a good thing because if a consumer trust a brand, they will be more likely to come back for more and recommend the brand to other consumers.

I think this concept is really smart and will be a good advantage because of how aware and conscious most people are about what they will put into their bodies.
