New Tariffs Threaten to Boost Prices of Imported Cars and Parts
Image result for imported cars tariffs

The U.S. President, Donald Trump is considering imposing tariffs on all imported automobiles and parts.

POTUS will decide on whether or not it is the correct decision to add tariffs of 20% onto foreign imports. The whole situation is still under investigation due to Section 232 of U.S. trade law, the Commerce Department is unsure whether or not the tariff will pose a threat to national security. The President has requested a decision to be made by Sunday.

Not only will foreign firms from Europe and Asia suffer, American car brands too will reap the consequences of the tariff. The Center for Automotive Research states that up to 50% of a typical American automobile contains parts from different parts of the globe.

If Trump decides to impose Tariffs then we will see a massive decrease in the purchases of cars in the U.S., which will only lead to an extremely negative impact for citizens who rely heavily on commuting to work, school or college everyday.
