Tech Hiring Rates Increases in March
As employers across the U.S. cuts 155,000 IT jobs in the last month, tech-sector employment rose by 16,000
Across the U.S. economy, employers had to cut about 155,000 information- technology related jobs within the last month, following a sharp upturn in the IT hiring history. In 2018, there was a total of 11.8 million people that head tech jobs which was up by 2.3% from 2017.
The tech positions was accounted for more than 7% of the United States workforce, while the employment rate for IT positions dropped .4% as researchers have noticed in February. Listing for IT positions increased by about 12,433 from February.
The highest IT position demands was for software developers followed by support specialists, then system engineers and architects and then system analyst and project managers. Employment rose by 16,000 job positions in March with IT occupations which made up of 44% of total tech-sector employment which includes sales, marketing and other non-tech position.
Companies gain the most at Tech firms is by IT and software services, electronics, driven by demand for technology service staff and developers. Tim Herbert, CompTIA's senior vice president for research and market intelligence said, " Technology services and software account for nearly half of spending in the U.S. tech market". He expects to see ongoing demand for tech workers as time goes.
