Smartphones that is Less than $350 and Worth every Penny.
A great phone does not have to cost a arm and a leg. There is a new generation of affordable phones that offers just as much as big brands such as Apple or Samsung for a fraction of the price.
These days great phones are costing more and more as new models are being released. Just a few years ago when smartphones first emerge, prices were under $200 with a contract ( depending on the carrier) is now over $1000 without tax. These days, unless you have 10 Benjamins to blow in one day then you are renting it.
In the market these days, there are devices that cost less than $350 some as low as $150 that offer the same performance, battery life and attractive design. Though seeing as how cheap these phones are, you might think that its not worth the money or it might break down a lot faster but there isn't really a big difference unless you are talking about the difference in your bank account.
What All Phones have in Common
In most phones, common things among them are such as processor to the memory to the tiny screws that makes a phone a phone, but prices can vary widely. The Iphone XS Max cost about $388.37 to make while the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 cost only $216.70 for the parts and labor combined.
From all the expensive devices, your money is going towards expensive ad campaigns, huge headquarters and retails store rather then the actual phones themselves.
Expensive phones also helps large software teams to which can build features such as voice assistants and upgraded camera tools. That is why certain brand like Blue Electronics phones won't be good as the big name brands one such as Apple. Sammy Ohev-Zion, the chief executive of Blue Electronics said that " we're able to get the same camera, the same hardware components but the fine-tuning costs tremendous amounts of money".
Worth the Price
The favorite affordable phone set at $350 is the Nokia 7.1 from HMD Global. The device comes with clean lines and gold accents. The camera captures good pictures and video, with the 5.8-inch screen looks very sharp and the battery lasts all day with no issues.
Best of all, the 7.1 runs Android One, a specific branch of the Android operating system, is unmarred by the manufacturer and comes with the promise of at least two years of updates. As the result, the 7.1 device has no weird interface ideas.
Another Android company is Lenovo- owned Motorola which is one of the few cheap-phone makers. The Moto G7 is the company latest inexpensive device and is set at $300. It has a built in Moto Actions app offers quick access to the camera by twisting your phone in your hand twice. You can also answer calls just by picking up the phone or shut the phone by flipping it over.
Conclusion
The smartphone industry is divided into two, the Casual Phones, which trade a fraction of a phone's power for a large fraction of its cost and there are the Luxury Phones which are the $1,000 and up devices with all the latest tech. The newest addition is the Couture phones, foldable models priced at $2,000 or more.

Pretty cool article!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your article. Although there is more affordable smartphones a lot of the new generations tend to follow the popular trends which is Apple. They (we) rather pay that luxurious/expensive price in order to follow what is popular. Every year the iPhone gets more expensive but we still go out and buy it in order to keep up with what is new. I wonder if more celebrities and influencers had other smartphones that weren't the iPhone, would others follow and start buying the other smartphones there is out there.
