Are
Greasy Snacks Smearing Your Phone? Japan Has Found a Solution
Summary by : Lucy Reyes
Tokyo snack-maker Koike-ya Inc took notice that people
that customers like the mix of potato chip crumbs and flavored
powder left at the bottom of the bag. Some eaters tip the chip bag into their
mouths to dump the little left overs. The company wanted to make it easier for
there consumers to eat and enjoy their product without getting their hand too
dirty.
The new market product that the one hand
brand introduced features a line of splintered
potato chips and other snacks that can be consumed like a bottled drink. As you can see in the photo above, it’s
marketed with a jumbo-size premise “a new snack style humankind has been
waiting for.”
Through
research and development, the company finally made the decision that the
product should be a hand-held package with an angled opening. The company
doesn’t release sales figures, but the line has been successful enough to add a
“super salt and nori seaweed” flavor. According to the company More may be
in the works once sales rise.
