U.S. Retail Sales Fell 0.2% in February

Some how some way the U.S. retailers declined in february not just because but there were alot of factors to come into play here. This decline in february signaled some hesitation among many consumers as the first quarter began to start. All the different type of retail sales decline from purchases at a store, restaurant, and online all declined seasonal adjusted 0.2% in february from months earlier based on the 0.7% increase in sales it had in january. From the based rebound from january Rob Martin an economist said nothing bad is happening on the consumer side,  but february weakness comes from the timing of tax refunds and should prove temporarily. The retail sales have been mixed in the many months to have past. Maybe because of the different holdiays and shopping season all play a major part in it. In february consumers spent more on vehicles and other motor automobiles but reined in their spending in several other major categories for instance, sales of furniture, electronics, building materials, groceries and clothing all declined on the month. In that month sales at nonstore retailers like internet merchants like amazon and many others were actually up 0.9% from january and february month. But then after the tax refund time and all that the sales retail begin too pick up again and the economy expanded at 2.2% annual pace in the fourth quarter .

I picked this blog because things like this interest me and i do shop alot soo i wanted to know how me shopping alot and buying different retail items effect the economic economony on different levels and many different ways.
